Wine estate
and architect-designed villas

A person smells the contents of a wine glass containing a clear liquid.

On the road to Collioure, close to the port of Argelès-sur-Mer and Racou beach, the family-owned Terre Jaume wine estate reveals itself in a preserved natural setting. Nestled between sea, mountains and vineyards, it embodies an authenticity passed down through five generations.

Both a wine estate open for tasting and a destination offering architect-designed villas for rent, Terre Jaume is best discovered through experience. Visitors come to explore the estate’s wines, stay in the heart of the vineyard, and appreciate the richness of the Roussillon terroir.

A story of family, wine
and passion

Terre Jaume is a family-run wine estate led by three generations of winemakers, united by a deep connection to the land and respect for nature. For over twenty-five years, Marie Jaume—now joined by her son Nicolas Danoy, both grower-producers—has carried this story forward, cultivating the vineyard with care and commitment.

The estate extends across the Côte Vermeille, a region shaped by the proximity of the sea, a Mediterranean climate, and soils composed of schist and marl.

These elements directly influence the character of the wines, bringing freshness, salinity and a distinct mineral expression. To preserve the identity of the terroir, Terre Jaume favors plot selection and manual harvesting. This precise approach allows the production of authentic wines, true to their origin and representative of the aromatic typicity of the IGP Côtes Catalanes.

Macabeu, Grenache Noir, Grenache Gris and Syrah are the main grape varieties of Domaine Terre Jaume. Each of them contributes to the identity of the wines, expressing in its own way the character of the soils and the winemaker’s craftsmanship.

The estate produces a range of wines under the IGP Côtes Catalanes designation, to be discovered during tasting workshops offered throughout your stay at the Grand Hôtel du Golfe or in the estate’s villas. Among the white wines, El Manadeil, made from 100% Macabeu, stands out with aromas of white-fleshed fruits.

L’Entre-Deux, a blend of Macabeu and Grenache Gris, offers a round and balanced profile, while La Lisière, made exclusively from Grenache Gris, reveals notes of fresh fruit and citrus. On the red side, L’Éthiopie, crafted from Grenache Noir, charms with its smoothness and generosity. Prémices, a blend of Syrah and Grenache Noir, presents a more structured profile with expressive tannins. The tasting concludes with Gourmandise, a light, fruity and lively rosé, emblematic of the estate’s spirit.
